Becoming the new housemate at any of these share houses across the country would be a dream come true for many would-be tenants who value top design and location.
Data shows that demand is currently very high for rooms on flatmates.com.au as renters return to the market in droves.
The share house accommodation site welcomed a staggering 37,000 new members in July, which was an increase of 65% year-on-year.
“This huge increase in members really demonstrates the toll the pandemic and extended lockdowns had on our sharing community,” said Claudia Conley, associate product manager at flatmates.com.au.
The majority of new members were property seekers, she added. This cohort of sharers was up by 64% compared with July last year.
“Unfortunately, supply cannot keep up with demand and property listings are dwindling, down 11% compared to July 2021. In fact, every month this year bar January has seen a decline in property listings year-on-year.”
So, when dream listings do come onto the market, they are snapped up quickly. Take these five beautiful share houses across the country currently on the market. Ready, set, apply!
