Jolimont has long been overshadowed by its much more well-known neighbour, Subiaco. But a new development is setting the stage for this part of Perth to have its moment in the spotlight.

Florin Parkside is the latest apartment complex by the award-winning developer Stirling Capital.

It follows on from Stirling Capital’s award-winning Cirque Apartments, a 20-storey residential development on the banks of the Canning River.

Now, Florin Parkside is expected to be one of the most coveted new addresses in Jolimont postcode.

“The median price is $425,00 per unit, which is up about 20% on the last year,” he says. “This compares to 9% for Perth overall in the same period.”

There’s no sign of this slowing, with demand for local property heating up, Moore adds.

“We’re seeing an increase in buyers from New South Wales and Victoria that are looking west,” he explains.

In fact, WA property searches from NSW and Victorians have surged by 47% and 42% respectively year-on-year to May ’22.

A new kind of living

Construction on Florin Parkside kicks off in August, with the new residential address already garnering plenty of attention.

It boasts spacious abodes that speak to the surrounding parks and natural landscapes, says Jimmy Thompson, Design Director at acclaimed architectural firm MJA Studio.

“We’ve really made the most of the history of the site, which is a former nursery, and its parkside location,” Thompson says.

“We’re bringing that natural aspect into these homes with a whole series of garden terraces in the walkways and the balcony areas.

“We were focused on catching as much light as possible. You look out at these amazing fig trees and you have great city views, as well.”

Florin Parkside is in the heart of LandCorp’s leafy Parkside Walk urban redevelopment area.

Sustainability is front and centre, with northern aspects brining in light. Cross-ventilation and ceiling fans limit the need for air conditioning.

Plus, there are also the bells and whistles expected in a luxury development, including bike storage, an air-conditioned gym, communal barbecue areas, a residence lounge, and even a pet wash.

The commitment to sustainability is also continued within each private dwelling, Luke Reinecke, managing director of Stirling Capital, says.

“That includes everything from building material choices, through to the selection of fridges and washing machines with high-efficiency ratings for energy and water performance.”
