Real Housewives of Melbourne star Gina Liano is selling the Brighton base that’s been her “little hotel room” in the city.
The glamorous barrister and entrepreneur moved to the Mornington Peninsula from Toorak five years ago but was “born and bred” in the suburb where she’s now selling.
Her one-bedroom apartment at 16/26 Warleigh Grove is on the market for $650,000-$680,000 after she bought something “a little bit bigger” in the well-heeled ‘burb.
“Brighton people love Brighton. I was born and bred here, and Brighton was perfect for me as a Melbourne base between the city and the Peninsula,” Liano said.
“It’s easier to get from the Peninsula than going back to Toorak; my kids went to school here, I grew up here, and I love it. It’s safe. The complex is really fantastic.”
Black marble splashbacks and benchtops gleam in the kitchen, with hardwood timber flooring underfoot and a courtyard at the rear.
Liano’s bold style is on show in listing photos, with large ornate mirrors adorning the walls, plush bedding and a French provincial touch evident throughout.
A spacious bathroom and separate European laundry complement the bedroom.
Liano said the location was handy to the train station, shops — and Chemist Warehouse (where one can treat themself to the Gina Liano perfume range).
She said she loved the fresh air and peaceful lifestyle on the Peninsula with her three dogs, adding Brighton was “the closest thing” to be found nearer the city.
“You’ve got the beach close by, it’s a similar vibe to Sorrento and Portsea … I feel very much at home in both places” she said.
Alongside being a centrepiece of the Melbourne franchise of global juggernaut Real Housewives until recently, Liano is an ambassador for the Cancer Council of Victoria, a marriage celebrant, has acted on Neighbours and appeared on The Celebrity Apprentice.
