Sarah McGilvray, the Fitzy and Wippa sidekick, and her husband James Couche, are heading back to the Balmain peninsula, having flipped their Turramurra abode last year.

After a two-year break from Balmain, they have quietly spent $2,725,000 on a classic, double-fronted 1880s home.

Secured off-market through BresicWhitney, the unrestored three bedroom home last sold at $622,000 in 1999.

It was pitched to database buyers as one of the area’s original Victorian homes on its near 300sqm block.

McGilvray and Couche, an executive at the electrical systems builder, Thales Group, pocketed $3.9 million from the sale their Turramurra family home, Eden. They had paid $3.03 million just 18 months earlier.

Their prior Balmain home was a Llewelyn St terrace which fetched $1.95 million in 2020.
